A hands-on workshop that will give participants experience in working with some particular applications that enable collaboration among church staff and members, as well as some communication tools that can be used in education or sharing your story with a bigger audience. From scheduling a meeting to thinking about your webpage to receiving a flash drive with links to education and worship sites that you can take home, you will go home with new skills and ideas for how you can use those skills in your congregation.

  • Stewardship Kaleidoscope Conference
    (Mar. 12-14) in Charlotte, NC
Why do some congregations struggle year after year, while others seem to have found the "secrets" to effective stewardship? This is a gathering of the clergy and laity from across the U.S.A. who meet to learn from one another about relevant financial matters of PC(USA) congregations. This will be a time of enriched learning and networking through workshops, plenary sessions and sharing of real-life experiences.

  • Academy for Missional Preaching
    (April 15-20)

The New Mission Field: We’re not in Christendom anymore. North American culture is no longer cozy with Christianity. Indeed, the mission field now starts in our own back yard.

So how do we preach the gospel among people who are unaware of church or even hostile to it as well as to those barely churched and those thoroughly churched who sit in the pews? And how do we do it without reducing the gospel to a PR slogan that sells Christianity?

These are serious questions facing today’s preachers.

The Salem Presbytery website seeks to post information affecting its constituent churches; however, the posting of such events does not indicate that the Presbytery does or does not endorse the event.  We do not post editorial submissions from our churches though we do provide links to their websites and other appropriate websites when available.

* Individual church calendars and holiday events can be posted on our our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/salempresbytery but will not be posted on the Presbytery website.
